For those of us who love Def Leppard, we are happy to report that we have one of the best tribute bands around, Def Leggend! It’s not easy to emulate the intricate guitar sounds of Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, but this band does a GREAT job! If you are fortunate enough to see them when they have a longer show, you will get to hear some songs like “Rock On” that was a favorite cover by Def Leppard. Our personal fav venue to see the band is Lava Cantina in The Colony. The stage and sound there are awesome, and the general admission tickets can’t be beat.

Def Leggend rocks the house at Lava Cantina, The Colony

The band’s lead singer Wes can belt out those iconic high notes (think Photograph, Women and Love Bites) with that slight gravel sound we love from Joe Elliott. Taylor handles the bass with Rick Savage style and flair. Ken (drums), Mike (Phil Collen lead guitar) and John (Vivian Campbell lead guitar) do a fantastic job and the band has that full, rockin’ sound that makes Def Leppard (and Def Leggend) special. The guys play it all, from High N Dry to Yeah and more, whatever era fan you are, there will be something for you.

Too late for love

All the guys in the band are so friendly and they make sure that the audience is engaged and singing along. The show is a party from start to finish. They have great nods to actual Def Leppard shows, like their opening with the countdown clock playing Def Leppard’s cover of Personal Jesus. I remember that tour… and that’s the beauty of Def Leggend. As long time, die hard Def Leppard fans, we love rockin’ out with Def Leggend every chance we get!
