We attended an AWESOME Sammy Hagar concert at Lucas Oil Live on the Winstar Casino campus. For our stayover we considered Winstar Hotels but found a much better deal at Towering Oaks. We caught a slow time of year and had the amazing home almost all to ourselves! Towering Oaks Event and Retreat Center is a beautiful home and property in Valley View, Texas.
Rock and Roll… and small town charm!
We highly recommend this resort for an amazing get away. We loved the rock show but Winstar hotels are so overpriced, and EVERYTHING there is so crowded. It is less than 30 minutes to Winstar from Towering Oaks, and being able to leave all that hustle and bustle and noise behind and come back to a sea of stars in the sky is incredible!
We had the Fort Worth room on the 2nd floor. There is even a 3rd floor that is awesome for families with 3 rooms and a nice sitting area and small coffee bar and fridge. It was Steve’s birthday weekend so I asked the Towering Oaks staff if they could give us a little something for his birthday and they did! We had a delicious chocolate cake and sparkling wine with a card. Our room was so comfortable and had a little coffee maker.
We had a lot of fun playing pool and enjoying the common area of the house. Another couple came in for the weekend, so we met them and spent a few hours playing pool and walking around the grounds. If you have a larger family or friends gathering, Towering Oaks is a fantastic option to have your own rooms but then come together for meals and fun. The kitchen area is very large and has all the amenities for great meals, cookouts s’mores, breakfast and anything else you can “cook” up.
Towering Oaks is a busy place during wedding season. It has the perfect setup for a destination wedding for family and friends. A beautiful gazebo that looks out to a small pond with beautiful trees, and a large event space for an amazing reception party.
We ate our breakfasts looking out over the pool, and the service bringing us breakfast made us feel like royalty! Emily greeted us when we arrived and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
Towering Oaks is a hidden treasure. Valley View Texas is a small relaxed town. There are wineries to explore and beautiful Texas sunsets.
